Still, there is no need to wait for the renovation to be over or to have enough funds that would enable one to purchase an apartment before visiting Rothschild 1 Café, located at the foot of the building
This part of Rothschild Avenue is currently under construction which will hopefully be over soon. Once that it will be done, pedestrians will be facing a beautiful boulevard that could actually be compared to the romantic streets of Manhattan or Berlin.
On this very south corner, where Rothschild Avenue meets Neve Tzedek neighborhood, stands a high tower – Rothschild 1 – probably one of the most expensive ones in Israel that houses in its 32 floors the wealthiest local and foreign business people.
Still, there is no need to wait for the renovation to be over or to have enough funds that would enable one to purchase an apartment before visiting Rothschild 1 Café, located at the foot of the building. Soon you will be able to recognize the place as you wander slowly through the boulevard: the tables and chairs at the café's square are quite welcoming in comparison to the towers surrounding it.
The wood decorations inside, covering the floor, walls and furniture are impressive. Find your place near an intimate table or comfortable couch, where you can enjoy a top quality menu, which includes sandwiches, toasts, salads, pasta dishes, pizzas, soups and rich breakfasts: green Shakshuka made of eggs, spinach and parmesan is served with fresh chopped salad, brioche and butter; Niçoise salad is untypically made with red tuna portions. And the goat cheese ravioli is seasoned with basil, fresh tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil and Thassos olives.
At night time, as the atmosphere turns warm and quiet, you can enjoy a wide variety of alcohol drinks, draught and bottled beers, wine, whiskey and others. 1 Rothschild also offers good coffee and high quality pralines by Lia Chocolate – sweet, rich, and fun to have any time of the day.
