Mayumanais a multicultural troupe, established in 1996 in Tel Aviv, which developed a unique language based on skills, rhythm, visual effects and, above all – creativity and humor. Throughout years of creative work, the members of Mayumana have performed for millions of spectators in over 70 cities around the world, with different shows presented in different countries simultaneously. The troupe currently includes about 100 members, from over 32 different countries. Mayumana is neither supported nor subsidized by any commercial or governmental bodies.
Time, is the driving force and inspiration for Mayumana’s show MOMENTUM. The creators of the show, Eylon Nuphar and Boaz Berman, together with Roy Ofer (cofounder of Mayumana & producer of Momentum) and artistic consultants - Giuliano Peparini (Franco Dragone Company), David Ottone (Yllana Theatre, Spain) and Ido Kagan (Mayumana) – assembled an international team of multidisciplinary artists in a production that presents innovative technologies developed especially for the show.
Momentum premiered in Madrid in late 2008 performing seven shows a week for five months. Following the success in Madrid, Momentum toured Europe and South America, returning to Spain for a tour and a sit-down in Barcelona.
Currently, Mayumana has a Momentum touring company and a Momentum home based company at the Mayumana house in Tel Aviv. A third company is touring the “Mayumana Show”.
