We did not know what to expect when we walked into Moshiko in Mevaseret Zion. A huge mob of people were coming out - probably several families- and were looking very happy. There are tables and umbrellas outside and people were sitting and eating. We went inside and there were a few tables available but not cleaned off yet. The owner, Yair, came right over to welcome us, showed us a very nice table and said it would be cleaned immediately. He also went over the menu with us as the menus were all in Hebrew and explained everything.A lovely young woman, Meital, came right over, cleaned the table and spoke English to us. She took our order and explained that 12 small salads are included with the meal, as are French fried potatoes and a big plate of Israeli salad (all made freshly in the back!). We ordered the Moshiko burger
and the Entrecote steak. The salads and a basket of pit and lafa came right away. Delicious! The beef burger was comprised of 2 huge p atties, on a tender, soft, delicious roll with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers on the side. It was SO DELICIOUS (I thought I tasted a bit of lamb in it, but forgot to ask). The flavor and preparation were superb. The Entrecote steak was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! Excellently prepared, generous portion and was tender, tender, tender. Would we come back again? Absolutely and would bring friends and family with us. BTW, it is Mehadrin Kosher, airy, wonderuflly sun-lit, good A/C, and parking was not a problem. We recommend this Moshiko highly and are very glad we found it!
