Docaviv
Docaviv Tel Aviv Documentary Film Festival
The International Documentary Film Festival is on now until 15/5 at 5 venues in Tel Avi.
The 12th annual Docaviv Festival will be held this year in 5 different venues in Tel Aviv: Tel Aviv Cinematheque, ZOA House, Tel Aviv Museum, Tel Aviv Port and Hatachana complex.

For over 11 years the festival has served as a focal point attracting Israeli and international documentary filmmakers.

The festival’s goal is to provide a reputable platform for national and international premiere screenings of films, and thus establish a connection between documentary filmmaking and local diverse and wide audiences.

As every year, the festival will screen 80 films in 5 competitions. All film screenings are debut screenings in Israel.

The festival includes unique content categories: DocArt (documentaries dealing with art), DocFood (documentaries dealing with the food industry), DocuSport (films dealing with sport), as well as an ecological films category, and human rights documentaries category.

The festivals flagship category is the Israeli films category, with world premieres of 25 Israeli films.

The Docaviv Competition is held as part of the festival, showcasing 14 Israeli documentary films competing for various awards: best film award, best director award, best photography award and more. The festival also includes special Israeli screenings of new films that were not accepted into the competition, but are of special interest.

This year, for the first time, the festival will include a new category of premiere screening of Israeli TV series.
